Outbound Routing

Outbound routing handles the routing of outgoing calls from the PBX to selected outbound channels. The system is divided into rule tables and table groups, where the PBX directs calls to the most specific applicable rule.

Managing outbound routing

• New record: Create a new routing
• Edit: Edit an existing record
• Delete: Delete a routing

After selecting a routing, a list of rules defining outgoing call handling is displayed.

Rule properties

Number definitions

• Simple numbers: 800123456 (specific number)
• Number blocks with wildcards:

Pattern	Meaning
_6X.	Three-digit numbers from 600–699
_5[48]X	Numbers 540–549 and 580–589
_50[1-5]	Numbers 501–505

Wildcard characters

Patterns require an underscore prefix:

.	All remaining	_4. = 400–499
!	0 to infinity digits	_4! = 4, 40–49, 400+

Caller distinction

Rules support the format DESTINATION_NUMBER/CALLER_NUMBER:

• 800123456/600987789 — specific combination
• _2XX/_[2345]! — flexible block-to-block

Caution

Do not use the _. combination — it includes special extensions s, i, h. Better choice: _X. or _X!

Fallback routing

If a call via the selected channel fails and fallback routes are defined, the PBX automatically switches to fallback channels.

Included routings

Outbound routings can include rules from other routings for easier management.
