SIP - TLS

TLS encrypts SIP signaling between the PBX and remote SIP devices. This is where keys are generated for the PBX and clients (remote SIP devices). Keys can be uploaded to devices automatically or manually via the device’s web interface. In most cases, an automatically uploaded key still needs to be enabled on the device.

Creating, Editing and Deleting a Key

Create a new key by clicking the New Record button in the top toolbar. Edit by clicking the Edit button. If you wish to remove a key, click the Delete button. You can also edit and delete by right-clicking on the selected key.

Key Properties — Server

Server properties

Name — key name
Type — server
Organization name — optional, organization name
Passphrase — protective password used when creating client keys
Note — informational text

Key Properties — Client

Client properties

Name — key name
Type — client
Organization name — optional, organization name
Client name — client identifier
Client hostname — IP address or domain name
Passphrase — must match the server key passphrase
