SCRIPT Channel Type

The SCRIPT channel type is a virtual channel type that allows PBX administrators to create custom call processing rules using the standard Asterisk scripting language. Available applications depend on the Asterisk installation; administrators can view available applications via the console command core show applications.

Scripts extend the PBX capabilities and are executed through inbound routing applications, outbound routing rules, or assigned directly to SIP trunk/line channels.
