What is VoIPSUN Provider
VoIPSUN Provider is a robust SIP proxy platform designed for voice service providers, telco operators, and MVNOs. It enables operating voice services for thousands of clients on a scalable infrastructure.
The platform is built on three components:
Kamailio
High-performance SIP proxy server — SIP client registration and call routing.
RTPENGINE
RTP stream management — voice encryption (SRTP), NAT traversal, ICE.
Asterisk LTS
Media gateway — TDM/SS7/E1 network interconnection, voicemail, fax.
Key features
SIP proxy and registrar
Registration and routing of thousands of SIP clients. Redirect server, ACL lists, whitelist/blacklist.
TLS / SRTP encryption
Signaling encryption (TLS) and voice packet encryption (SRTP). T38 fax transmission.
Two-level billing
End-customer pricing and ISP cost pricing. Arbitrary rate plans, prepaid and postpaid modes.
Multi-tenant management
Two-level access: central administrator (Level 1) manages all ISPs, ISP administrator (Level 2) manages own clients.
TDM / SS7 / E1
Support for legacy telecom interfaces — DSS1, Q.SIG. PSTN interconnection.
Scalability
Decentralization across multiple servers. Thousands of concurrent calls, tens of thousands of SIP clients.

Known limitations
VoIPSUN Provider is a stateless SIP proxy. The following features are not supported in the current version:
- Internal numbering plans (planned)
- Call transfer (stateless proxy limitation)
- Announcement playback in RTPENGINE (current version)
